The clinical observation of Paracervical and pudendal nerve block in labor

Abstract
|
|
|
This paper presents the results of clinical studies of paracervical and pudendal nerve block by Kobak transvaginal regional anesthesia instrument in the labor- of 105 primipara who have no abnormalities.
The result are as follows:
1. The anesthetic effects were fair to excellent in 94 % of all cases and slight relief- of pain was observed in 6%.
2. All cases were delivered by the vaginal route.
3. In Fetal heart changes, 88 % of the cases showed no significant change, and transient fetal bradycardia (96-108/min) lasting several minutes was observed in. the rest of cases.
4. Labor pain interval delayed about 2 to 5 min. in 48% and over 30 min. in 6%. ¢¥No change was observed in 46% of all cases.
5. One minute Apgar score of all infants showed a score above 8.
6. No maternal complications whatsoever, such as hematomas, infections, syncope or tachycardia, allergic or anaphylactic reaction, there encountered during these observations.
